Junior Lifeguard Program: Summer 2026

I understand that my child must be a competent swimmer to enroll in this class. I acknowledge that my child's swimming ability will be evaluated prior to the first class and that if they do not pass, this registration will be cancelled and refunded.

I understand that my child should not attend if they are sick or have had a fever or diarrhea within the previous 24 hours.

I acknowledge that a parent/guardian must remain on-site during the lessons. Only adults are allowed in the designated observation area near the pool during the lessons. Parents are encouraged to not bring children who are not enrolled in lessons. If I must bring unenrolled children, I will remain in the designated child-friendly waiting area.

I acknowledge that there is a strict NO SMOKING/VAPING policy at Camp Cedar Ridge. I understand that if I do not adhere to this policy, my child and I will be asked to leave.

I understand that the cost of the Junior Lifeguard certification course is $175. A $60 portion of that fee is non-refundable. If I provide notice of cancellation prior to June 15, 2026, via email to info@CampCedarRidgeOR.org, I will receive a partial refund of $115. No refunds will be issued after June 15, 2026.

I, the parent/guardian of the participant, agree and understand that swimming is a HAZARDOUS activity. I recognize that there are risks inherent in the sport of swimming, including but not limited to, paralyzing injuries and death.

The participant hereby agrees to participate in swim lessons, swim classes, parties, open swims, lap swimming, lifeguard certification classes, aqua fitness classes, etc. The participant and the parents/guardians of the participant agree to indemnify and hold Cedar Ridge harmless for any and all liabilities, losses, claims, damages, judgments, and expenses (including attorney fees and costs) which arise out of or relate to any personal injury, death or property damage sustained or alleged to have been sustained by any or all persons whatsoever (including without limitation by Cedar Ridge and/or its employees) and were caused in whole or in part by (a) any act or omission by myself, or (b) any activity or incident in connection with the Event and/or while I am using the Facility. 

The participant authorizes any representative of Camp Cedar Ridge to have the participant treated in any medical emergency during their participation in swim lessons. Further, the participant and/or parent/guardian agrees to pay all costs associated with medical care and transportation for the participant.

I have noted in my Swim Registration any medical/health problems of which the staff should be aware.

Yes, I agree to adhere to the Camp Cedar Ridge Policies and Procedures as well as the Terms and Conditions set forth in the Camp Cedar Ridge Guest Policy.
